Red Chemistry, Inc. is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization incorporated in 2006. Its mission promotes the art of filmmaking in the community by providing a forum for little known foreign filmmakers to present their films at independently produced film festivals. Programs and services include film festivals, film series and art workshops.

Executive Director Isabelle Lambert’s vision to offer films without violence developed into an unprecedented film festival – Romance in a Can – entering its fourth year.
“After a decade of translating and editing French crime novels and scriptwriting for thrillers, I wanted to create a themed film festival about love,” Lambert says.

Red Chemistry also strives to help children and teenagers in the community to develop their creative abilities and an appreciation of the arts with year-around cultural activities focus on underserved neighborhoods, including North Shore in Miami Beach, Little Haiti and Little Havana. The goal is to nurture a love for movies in children that becomes an integral part of their being.

Red Chemistry’s mission is to produce film festivals that are designed to educate the public about the work of little-known filmmakers, to support the work of film students through their participation in film festivals and to expand the scope of the festival’s activities to venues throughout Florida. We strive to help the children and teenagers in the community (e.g., at the Alliance Française, at the Children’s Museum or at the North Shore Park Youth Center) to develop their creative abilities as well as their appreciation of the arts.

Promote the Art and Enjoyment of International Film to the Miami Community

Through specifically themed film festivals organized by the Red Chemistry, Inc. -- “Romance In A Can,” Miami’s first Romantic Film Festival, and M.I.K.E. (Miami International Kids Entertainment) -- we will provide a forum for filmmakers, film lovers and artists to come together to view new, challenging and undiscovered works.
